As an #ambivert, I’ve always had to draw from two separate sources to stay energized.
Once in a while, I would waltz over to the river of extroverts and drown myself in novel experiences, exciting individuals, and stimulating conversation. Then, I would crawl back into the sunlight to process, synthesize and integrate under the sweltering heat of the introvert sun.
But keeping an ambivert happy and balanced isn’t just about having two different energy sources to draw from – it’s also about making sure that we can access them in the ideal ratios to hit a minimum threshold.
Like a chemical reaction, an excess of introvert or extrovert energy doesn’t benefit the creation of ambivert energy.
Studying that ratio and finding a way to acquire both in proportion is key to helping the ambivert thrive.
