211- Ruthless Relationships

A friend of mine recently noticed two different sides of my personality.

On one side is the ruthless artist and activist who refuses to accept anything other than everyone’s best in service of the mission or cause.

On the other, is the nice guy – conflict-avoidant, eager to please, and always ready to help.

When those two sides meet, sparks fly – because likability gets sacrificed for the cause or vice versa.

But suppose you surround yourself with the right people with similar values, drive, and communication styles. These opposing forces can suddenly realign and work together.

All it takes is more ruthlessness in relationships.

Rather than trying to please all, please the ones that matter. Set boundaries early, and find the people who will help you protect them while serving the same mission.
