126- Privilege and scarves

Yesterday, a man who spoke 11 languages sold me a scarf .

He was playful, charismatic, and a fantastic salesperson who switched seamlessly between English and French to accommodate me and my American counterpart.

Despite having a university education and a dream to travel the world, his passport and obligations to family kept him in this tiny beach-side town selling scarves for 5$ profit margins.

There are so many talented and hardworking people that never get a chance to opt-out of their circumstances.

For those who have the #privilege of choosing and building the life we want, let us not forget how lucky we were to be born into our gender, skin color, passport, religion, and parents.
