When going out for a meal, what matters most is the quality of the food.
If the food is rotten, it doesn’t matter how fancy the decor is, how great the plating was, or how fantastic the service is. The meal will still be terrible.
When measuring our self-worth, we consciously or unconsciously believe that our value comes from the job we hold, the network we have, the amount of money we earn, or the skills we’ve acquired.
But does any of that matter if the person beneath is unfulfilled, selfish, and lonely?
