10- Don’t follow your strengths.

Although I am good at photography, being told to take photos at an event makes me feel weak. It makes me feel like I only deserve to be there if my camera is working. That without my camera, I am not enough.

When we think of our strengths and weaknesses, we often think about them as attributes or skills.

But it might be more helpful to think of our strengths as the activities and actions that make us feel empowered and strong regardless of how good we are at them.

After all, it is the empowered individual that creates better work.
