85/365 – ” What’s making you drop the ball? ”
For the last few days, I’ve been falling behind on posting my daily thoughts on Instagram.
It’s easy to come up with excuses – life’s busy with three people sleeping over, I’m busy with a brand new campaign, and I’m trying to prioritize sleep…
But the truth is that reformating these ramblings to be Instagram-ready takes less than five minutes… far shorter than the amount of time it takes to write them out.
So why drop the ball on posting?
I think I’ve realized that most of the value from my daily thoughts comes from writing rather than sharing.
Rather than forcing myself to share, an alternative strategy might be to reflect on the value of sharing. By doing so, the underlying incentive might then take care of itself!
