When entering a high-stake situation, it’s normal to feel a sense of concern.
Our monkey minds are good at imagining scenarios where things don’t go as planned, promises fall through, and tempers run hot.
But focusing too much on what can go wrong puts us in a mindset where we’re constantly stressing about the worst possible scenarios.
On the other hand, if we concentrate instead on all the possible ways to resolve a situation, we put ourselves in a far more positive mindset of solutions and possibilities.
