75/365 – ” What does love look like to you? “

75/365 – ” What does love look like to you? ”

Today, my mom came to visit my studio for the first time.

She hung around for six hours to vacuum, wipe, and clean every surface she could get her hands on while my dad and I screwed hanging shelves into the wall.

Since I was young, my parents have shown love and care for me by showing up unprompted and doing whatever they could to improve my situation.

They don’t wait to be invited; they leap into action.

Unsurprisingly, I’ve grown to value friends and partners that show up selflessly over anything else.

Because, to me, that’s what love and care look like.

Ah, love. It has a look but what also has a sound, doesn’t it? In this case, the swirling of buckets and mops and tap of hammers, but now that you’ve spoken of love, what thought could you possibly propose tomorrow? I’m sure you will, just curious…

That’s so beautiful… my mom was the same way, always there for me … even was my assistant when photo budgets were too small, dad was more quiet helping in the background My friend’s parents were like yours, help with moving, cleaning , doing what they could … they weren’t rich but helped her in every way they could Yes, 💕
