49/365 – ” How do you want to spend your time? ”

Yesterday, a physician I was friends with on Facebook helped me to get a medical note for a contract I was working on.

It had been over a decade since we spoke, and I didn’t even know she had become a physician. Back then, she was pursuing a musical career, while I had aspirations to become a commercial photographer.

It reminded me how hard it is to predict where we might find ourselves in a decade.

When we look towards the past, we see how unexpected and unpredictable our life journey can be. But we always try to plan in straight lines when we look toward the future.

With that in mind, maybe what matters is less where we want to end up and rather how we want to spend our time.
