45/365 – ” What problems could be solved with less involvement? ”

For the last week, we’ve been bugging the kind folks at @GiQuoVadis to give us the keys to our studio.

We were so eager and anxious to get started that we pushed hard to accelerate the timeline.

Arriving at the space, we were quickly overwhelmed by the amount of renovation that was necessary. The last tenant had lived there for 15 years and had been illegally smoking.

Realizing the conundrum we found ourselves in, we took a moment to slow down, reassess the situation and reach out for help.

We quickly learned that electrical, paint, and plumbing renovations were not our responsibility – we had simply received the keys ahead of schedule.

Our over-eagerness created problems that wouldn’t have happened had we been more patient.

Sometimes, doing less is the solution.
