34/365 – “What’s the one thing you want people to know about you?”
Whenever a superhero emerges in a movie, a theme song accompanies them. When orators give a speech, they repeat the same point multiple times. When spiritual practitioners seek intimacy, they recite a mantra. Brands repeat their slogans, politicians use the same catchphrases, and influencers recycle the same content.
Repetition builds familiarity, trust, and ultimately believability.
As an environmental activist, I often get scared of repeating the same thing over and over again. I don’t want to become that person everyone avoids because they’re depressing to be around.
But who said that environmentalism had to be boring? Maybe there is something out there I can feel comfortable and excited to repeat over and over again.
