28/365 – ” What aspect of your life could use more time-bound containers? ”
In an intimacy workshop I participated in at burning man, one of the invitations was to create opportunities for time-constrained connection.
For 3 minutes, one person would express a desire for the other to play out, and then the roles would switch.
Like a freewriting exercise constrained to a few minutes, the time constraint creates a safe container for participants to release expectations and allow the situation to unfold naturally.
We can invite moments like these into our everyday lives – finite time-constrained containers to explore a topic, place, or curiosity with another person. Permission to be, without concern for the outcome.
Along the way, you might find something you didn’t even know you were looking for.
