21/365- Do you consider yourself more interested or interesting?

When comparing notes around who we found most compelling at our Burning Man camp, I was struck by how little knowledge, career, or success mattered.

Those, on paper, who might have been the most theoretically interesting to hang out with often came with the most significant attitude of disinterest in learning about others.

Sometimes, I also fall into the same trap of also being disinterested in others. It happens when I try to socialize with a depleted introvert battery or focus too narrowly on optimizing for a specific outcome.

Being both interested and interesting is the secret recipe to being compelling.
